Two days after Kerstin's eighth birthday, the holidays begin. And with them - a whole series of surprising events.

First her cat disappears. Then the circus arrives. And then someone completely unexpected shows up.

His name is Paweł, he's a child of circus people and everything comes easy to him. And on top of that he has the most beautiful face in the world. Sounds great? Maybe so, but why did he have to stay with Gunnar?

Now Gunnar never leaves him. As if he had forgotten that Kerstin is his best friend. A friend for life and death!

But even though Kerstin is sometimes really fed up with them, all three of them stick together. After all, they have a mission - they have to find Kocisław's cat! And in the process, they come across another, quite promising lead.

"- I know where to look - Hera declares energetically, motioning for them to come closer because she doesn't want to speak aloud.

They stand in a circle, head to head. Kerstin feels Paul's stubble against her ear. It tickles irritatingly, so she moves away.

- Go to Kjell and Sumala! - Hera whispers. - They are animal torturers, my father says so."

The third part of Kerstin and Gunnar's adventures is gripping - and, like the entire series, it flawlessly presents the world of childhood experiences. Together with the characters, we will feel anxiety and jealousy, joy and hope. And we will see that there is a place for everything in life: separations and farewells, births and new beginnings.

For the first volume of Kerstin's adventures she received many awards, including the prestigious Nils Holgersson Plaque for the best book for children and young people in 2018.
